Steak restaurant

by Jenny H » Mon Apr 16, 2007 12:22 pm

I am planning on going out to dinner tomorrow evening and was wanting a suggestion for a good place for steak. I don't care if it is a chain restaurant. I am not looking to spend an arm and a leg though, maybe around $12-15 per person. I am looking to eat in the East End. Any suggestions? Thanks!

For a good steak on a budget, there's no beating Texas Roadhouse. There's one at Breckenridge & Dutchmans. I'm not sure about anywhere further east than that.

Too bad you can't go tonight . . . Limestone on Monday's is half off all grilled entrees, giving you a wonderful steak in your price range! Otherwise, I'd hit the chains, like Texas Roadhouse for that pricing.

Oh yeah, Texas Roadhouse is good. I didn't know about Limestone's Monday special. I checked out their website but they don't post pricing. Does anyone know typical pricing for their dishes?

Better call to be sure they still are offering it . . . I remember a beef tenderloin for $11, including starch and a vegetable! For that restaurant, an incredible price . . . we usually get grilled fish, but several meat dishes.

:D :D :D :D Alsmost forgot to mention Tumble Weed. I have had there Ribeye and T Bone and they were both great with a nice Mesquite Taste. any of the three will keep you within 10 to 18 Dollars...and you will be very happy...You really do not need to spend 20 to 40 bucks to have a good steak diner...unless that is your cup of tea....I would rather keep the rest of the money in my wallet for another day.. :) :)

O'Charley's also has an excellent AGED ribeye in the same price range.

My choices in your price range are Logan's, Tumbleweed, O'Charley's and Texas Roadhouse. Too bad Dillon's couldn't survive. They were a local place that was above the chain level but had the higher quality at a price us normal working folk could afford.

Are they all chains? Yes. Do they do a good steak meal at a really fair price? Yes. Go local, double or triple the price and you'll probably get a bit of a better steak and better service but we all don't have that kind of money to spend, do we. So, this is a good reason why the chains prosper. They generally give people what they want at a fair price.

I guess I'm either mean or not funny. Bummer of a choice.
