Have made reservations at Varanese. Is anyone familiar with it and would you recommend it?

they are consistently in the top ten most booked restaurants on http://www.opentable.com for the state of Kentucky....should be a good pick!

It's excellent ... outstanding. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, first-rate food. The chef, John Varanese, used to work at Azalea (among other places) and in my opinion the fare is in the same general niche but evolved and better.

If you'll use the forum Search feature and look for other posts with the keyword "Varanese," you'll find lots of discussions, probably all of them positive.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. We are confident we chose a very good restaurant and are looking forward to visiting Louisvile and our dining experience at Varanese. I will definitely write again after our visit there.
