Speaking of BLTs, any bacon lover needs to get to L&N and try the BLT on their recession menu. The bacon is from a farm in TN. If Len or Chef Rick are on here, maybe they can help me remember the name of the farm. Anyway, it is hands down the best bacon I have ever had...ever. That bacon, coupled with the housemade mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, arugula and the roasted garlic & bourbon smoked black pepper aioli...OMG!!! The wife and I ate there last Friday night and I haven't gotten it out of my head since.

Ive been toying with the idea of a bacon, egg, & cheese brittle.

candied pecan /bacon brittle, swirled with a mascarpone sabayon, then drizzled with whipped quail egg yolks while still warm enough to bring the yolks up to temp.

havent executed it yet, but its gonna be money

Actually, "Cracker Barrel" offers a very tasty BLT on their menu, featuring their excellent, thick cut bacon....

I am actually going to attempt to fabricate one of these. I hope my braiding skills are still intact. This looks way better than fast food.

It's Doogy with 2 o's...LOL. Anyhow, I am going to formulate a plan to make this thing. My 12" cast iron skillet will be ideal for this task. And yes, you know I love to post pix on this forum. I know you want me to do it.

Would you be so bold as to assist me in this attempt? It looks like more than 2 hands are needed to meld all those strips of bacon together. I really love bacon and really wanna make this gustatory contrivance.

I am a basket maker(had a blue ribbon at the State Fair). I will gladly make one, but it has to be put off until after the weekend. We are going to Memphis tomorrow, with other friends.
What can any of you recommend? We are staying at a Hilton Inn- Beale St.

One of my favorite foods from the time I lived in New Orleans was praline bacon. As near as I can tell, the bacon was cooked almost all the way, dipped in brown sugar and cooked a little more. The brown sugar melted and cooled to form a hard shell around the bacon strip. Good eatin'.
