The main thread can be found by following this link. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3953

So far, it looks as though Monday, August 18th is shaping up as the day for an offline lunch for LHB forumites.

Re: Offline outing to Corbett's for lunch. UPDATE.

Hopefully by midweek, we can get a solid list of attendees. After that, I will make the reservation. The date and time are looking like Monday, August 18th around 12:00-12:30. Is this sounding good for most everyone? I apologize to those for whom this isn't going to work.

This thing seems to have gotten off track so I don't know if it's gonna happen. If anyone is really serious about it, post soon. My mom was even looking forward to attending. She wanted to enjoy a great meal and meet some of my friends.

Doogy - I'm not really sure if you've forgotten to check the offline planner thread, or what, but by my count you've got confirmations from: Gayle DeM, Ed Vermillion, Suzi & Richard, Gary F, John Lisherness, Todd Pharris and Steve Shade, with Robin and Mary as possibles. For goodness' sake, make a reservation for 12 on the patio! If anyone backs out you can call and adjust the party size. John and I would love to come but it's just impossible this week. I'm jealous I won't be there, but I strongly advise you to make the reservation right away.

I can't figure out what would make you say it's "gotten off track"?

I just posted a note similar to Marsha's in the Offline section, Doogy.

You volunteered to organize. A good number of people have signed on. What exactly did you expect to have happen? If you needed someone else to take over organizing, you could have asked, but I don't see any evidence of a derailment ... yet.

How could I have left out Dan Thomas?! It must be a hang-over from his whipping my ass in the BLT challenge.

 I'm sorry, I can't. Disposable income this week is going in a different direction. Y'all please try some desserts - I went to school with Nick Sullivan (no relation), the patissier - actually, we were on the culinary competition team together one year. He's awesome (and handsome!)

Say hello for me :)

I would love to attend but I have a previous engagement "Beating the elusive little white ball with metal sticks" I forgot about....

Although it should be a wonderful meal, I unfortunately won't be able to make it.....
