Come Back Inn

by Melissa S » Sat Aug 02, 2008 11:50 am

My parents are in town and we are looking to take them to a great little Italian restaurant. They are from Philly and always like going to the small mom and pop type places with great food that are found in the Italian neighborhood. Does Come Back Inn fit the bill? The reveiew found on this website was very positive, but it was an older review. Just want to male sure it is still a great place to dine. Thanks for any feedback.

We really enjoy the one on the Indiana side. We have been for lunch a few times and never been dissappointed. If you go try one of the apps, the funky wonton thing, cant remember what its called but they are very good. We think Come back has one of the best Italian beefs in town.We fould the place to be very clean, great service, nice price and volume/noise level, and smoke free as well. Never been to the one on this side of the bridge, but would assume it would be just as good.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I've always had better luck and meals at the one in Indiana too.

The CBIs are very nice, but also don't overlook Melillo's! The Italian family atmosphere there is unforgettable.

I do like Mellilo's, but they don't have my favorite linguine and clams. Come Back Inn's prices are also more affordable.

Hi Melissa,
My husband, Mark, and I own the CBI. We would love to have you bring in your parents from Philly. We have many Philly, New York, and Chicago people that visit us regularly. Mark is always behind the bar and I'm typically hostessing, so be sure
to say Hi! (FYI, we are not open on Sundays and Mondays)
Regards, Gena

Melissa

I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed with your choice to dine @ CBI. Mark and GIna run a great restaurant...dollar for dollar I think it's one of Louisville's best!

Here's another PRO vote for the CBI in southern Indiana. I dine there at lunch frequently and always try something new I've never had before. Never been disappointed yet. There's plenty of parking close by as well so I'll remind the people that work in downtown Louisville what a quick jump it is over the 2nd street bridge!

I haven't been to the Indiana location, but have never had anything less than a great experience over here in da Ville. The ambience is awesome and I even love the hood. It's like in that area of town between the Highlands and Paristown and almost Downtown.

This post may be a little late, but I've always preferred the CBI in Jeffersonville....spacious seating and better parking than the Louisville location....very convenient for those working in downtown Louisville....their "Chicken Alfredo" is the best!
