Mojito's New Menu

Just wanted to let everybody in the forum know that we are changing our menu starting Tuesday. We moved to a more Spanish and Catalan influence. We are really exited about it. It's a collaboration between Michael and I. Hope to see you guys soon.

Some of our new menu items are:

Higos Rellenos: Figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in a applewood bacon smoke honey and piquillo sauce.
Garrotxa cheese w/ roasted garlic cajeta.
Jamon de Pato: Our house cured duck ham.
Cerdo azado: Spanish style Roasted pork w/ spinach Catalan style.
Coca de Pato: Catalan style Flat bread w/ duck confit, marmalade, goat cheese and herb salad.

I love this restaurant and I'm excited to try out the new menu. My favorite thing at Spanish tapas bars that I don't see at Mojito's is the baked goat cheese marinara. Is this going to be on the menu or have you ever considered it?

If it's not there I'll just continue getting the cheese board which in my opinion is the best cheese appetizer in town.

Sounds fabulous, Fernando! I can't wait to put on my critic's disguise (Groucho nose glasses) and get over there to try it.

Curious question: Did some of these changes emerge from your time in Europe?

I always been really interested in Spanish and Catalan cooking Robin, but my trip to Europe influenced the changes; also we visited several tapas places around the country for inspiration. I hope you enjoy it when you come. :lol:
Gary say hello when you come is always nice talking to you.
Jennifer say hello next time I'm normally at Mojito most of the time.

I was lucky enough to get to try some of these dishes with a few people from Work. Have to say that I have always liked mojitos but this new menu is so bold and fresh it will knock your socks off!!! Try the flatbread!

Garrotxa cheese w/ roasted garlic cajeta - this dish rocks. I didn't think Garlic would go with caramel but DAAAANG!

Always both exciting (for the opportunity to try new dishes) and anxiety inducing (over the fear of losing some old favorites) to see a new menu at a local favorite. We look forward to trying it sometime soon!

What a bold and interesting menu, Fernando. Cindy & I had lunch there today and had a great meal. She had the Mediterranean Salad, which is her favorite and happy to see it made the cut, and sweet potato fries with smoked honey. I had the lomito steak sandwich which was also excellent. We realized that we were going to have to come back for a tapas night to sample all the new items. We were sad to see the guacamole and hummus disappear but understand the food cost/volume issue for the guac. Very impressed and looking forward to trying the flatbread as well. Jose was waiting on us and did his usual great service.

I had the flatbread with the roast pork and fennel last night and it was yummy! We also had the piquillo peppers and raviolio. The peppers were great and my friend loved her raviolio.

The new menu is fantastic .

We tried the pan Catalan with the duck, cheese, honey, and beautiful little greens. It's a crisp flatbread,amply topped but not overwhelmed by savory sweet awesomeness, perfect for a cocktail. I haven't seen the mushroom gratin mentioned. It is second only to the mushroom and polenta at L'Impero as my favorite mushroom dish.

A few of the old favorites are on the menu, but it has been largely revamped, so if you haven't been there in awhile, you should treat yourself.

No guacamole. That was a favorite of many. That's too bad. But I cannot wait to try the new items; I am sure they are great additions.

I'm glad that everybody is enjoying the new changes in the menu, we had a rough start but we are finally getting the small details work out. I hope that everybody is pleased and we might even bring the guacamole back after so many requests. Fernando.
