Ruth's Chris dessert item

by Danielle D » Fri Jul 18, 2008 11:37 am

I have the luxury of preparing birthday desserts for my coworkers. I try to get a general idea of what their likes and dislikes are and then I scour the internet for an idea and tweak it to appease them. Well we have a newbie who has already thrown me for a loop. He is requesting the Berries and Cream dessert that is on Ruth's Chris' menu. I've never had this dish and looked online to get a better idea of what it entails. Unfortunately their menu doesn't help with their discriptive. Can anyone give me a better idea what this dessert is like? Or better yet, a recipe?!! I'm also going to post this on the recipe exchange forum but I thought this forum got more traffic. Thanks in advance!

I have had a 'killer" version of cream with berries at Le Gallo Rosso on B-town Road. Maybe you could call them to find out their recipe!

I'm not sure about the exact recipe RChris uses, but the classic is sabayon and berries. Sometimes a little granola thrown in the mix is also nice.
