Gluten Free Dinner

by Amy A » Sun Jul 06, 2008 8:22 pm

I am looking for an upscale place that is adept at handling gluten free meals. It will be my mother's birthday on Tuesday and she doesn't get many options in dining out and I would love to find a place that could make this happen.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Corbett's... I'm sure they would like seeing you again!

But I feel that if you call ahead today to give the kitchen a head's up; I'm sure most any upscale place could accomodate your needs.

I agree with Dan. Upscale eateries are well adept at handing special needs - especially if you've forwarned them. Typically casual places need you to paint the picture perfectly, but at a chef run restaurant, you might just get an original design to suit your needs.

Additionally, there is less gluten on an upscale than otherwise. More unadulterated protiens, fresh veg, herbs, and oils - easy range of ingredients to work with.

My son is on a gluten free and casein free diet and Chef Harold has it down for him. Not that hard. We would be happy to be of service.
