Trader Joe's Rumor again...

Here is the latest I got on the whole Trader Joe's rumor, it is going in at the Brownsboro Inn location (will be torn down)
Where there was supposed to be a Fresh market. Instead, they signed Trader Joe's.

I got this from a reliable source, the boys barber in Brownsboro Center. (across the street from location).

I was shocked, because they had a meeting in May (which I missed) but after that I was told that Fresh Market is a done deal, now I hear Trader Joe's

The Fresh Market's website recently began showing a second Louisville location and Trader Joe's makes no mention of it so we're certainly getting conflicting information. Also the neighbors of the proposed location had enough problem with a known entity coming in I'm sure they'd really have a fit for Trader Joe's since it's an unknown to most of them. Only time will tell which rumor is correct but I'd be surprised if it wasn't The Fresh Market.

Well, they have not told Fresh Market that yet either, cause they are aligning local staff for the new location on Brownboro Road and have the plans already drawn up. Hubby works for Fresh Market.

I give up, I am just going to call the mayor of Windy Hills and ask him myself.

Okay, Spoke to Mayor Phillips, and he told me that it is still on for a Fresh Market, a bank and a small strip of retail.
Zoning was just approved in May. Trader Joe's is not going in. Sorry.

I lived in La from '80 to '92 and a trip to Trader Joe's was a weekly event.
I spent last week in Carmel (CA not IN) and eagerly went to the local TJ.
They still have some good stuff... but it's not as good as I remember.
I did a reality check with local friends, and they confirmed that TJ has slid backwards since the ownership changed to the European company that also owns Aldi.

All I can say is thank God there's a bank going in . . . I don't know what I was going to do, as we only have 86 banks now in a four block radius!
