Anybody know anything about this, which has its grand opening Friday? It looks a little like a wannabe Jungle Jim's ...

I don't know anything about it but if it's even half of what Jungle Jim's is, I will do cartwheels. My husband and I just made the trip two weeks ago.

Looking at the website I would say this needs a closer inspection tour. Good to see someone taking that brownfield industrial area and making a go of something with it.

closer inspection for sure. I'm not sure what this place is. Looks bazaar from the pictures. I wish it was Jungle Jim's too.

Not sure if it is connected to the "Somali mall at 7th, or is this the "Mall" that was referred to me by a refugee community service group. If so, it is a Somalian group that has started it, and is said to be interesting, and not so interesting.

Translation: Some unique and interesting items, and some "chachkees" or junk... but what business does not have some of that.

Recommendation: go and check it out for yourselves, and give our "new immigrants" a shot at a chance in Louisville!

Might be the best shopping trip of the week,..... or the worst.

You decide!

Let me phrase this a different way.... it is more like a pilot "small business incubator" for the Somali Community.

I will be down there myself tomorrow and will report back what I see for all of you who are curious but do not have the time to get there yourselves!

After looking at the pictures, I would not think they had Jungle Jim's in mind.

It does look like a great place to get Pine Sol.
