Melillo's...finally!

by MikeG » Mon Jun 23, 2008 12:34 pm

Saturday evening my girlfriend and I finally made it out to Melillo's . We had a wonderful meal starting with a Riceball, which could've been a meal in and of itself due to it's size. Our meal followed, I had a half order of Eggplant Parmesan which was more than enough for me. The sauce wasnt too chunk, yet not too thin and amply covered the eggplant which I force myself to eat for nutrients. My girlfriend had the Fettuccine Alfredo which she described as the best she's ever had. I am anxious to return and try the lasagna I spied on the menu.

Also I was very pleased to see so many vegetarian friendly options on the menu. It always astounds me when I enter an Italian restaurant and EVERYTHING is prosciutto or sausage. I'm always pleased when there are options on the menu aside from spaghetti marinara.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

The 1/2 order of Eggplant Parm is my standard order. It's yummy!

I have to make sure that none of the actual eggplant will hit my tongue. If I can taste it, I cringe. I had once instance of that with this meal but I dont hold my fickle taste against the restaurant.
