It would stand to reason that business would wane temporarily for a relocating restaurant, at least until word gets out. So Ferid Abdulla and Selam Deneke, the husband and wife team that own Ethiopian restaurant Queen of Sheba, were taken aback when the restaurant reopened last month to an explosive amount of business.
The owners shut the doors on their former location, at 3315 Bardstown Road, in late April, and reopened at 2804 Taylorsville Road, near Bowman Field, on May 13.
Since then, Abdulla said the restaurant has been serving between 600 and 700 customers per week -- a 40 percent increase over the volume of customers that were being served at the former location.
