I went to “Lunch Lessons” at Limestone Restaurant today. This wasn’t my first time and it certainly won’t be my last. Are you aware of this monthly offering? This has got to be one of the best bargains in town: a full three-course lunch plus a cooking class for $23.00 including tax and gratuity. I frequently go to cooking classes at Campbell’s Gourmet Cottage, which are wonderful, but they usually cost around $45 and one gets “tastes” not full course meals. I’m not putting down CGC, I’m going there again next Monday, but Limestone’s “Lunch Lessons” are a true bargain plus Jim and Mike are excellent chefs and presenters. Another plus is that the house wine and beer are available at “happy hour” prizes – like $2.50 a glass.
Today’s presentation was entitled “That’s Italian” and featured Clam Soup with Fregula Pasta, Stuffed Sirloin Italian Style, and Layered Ricotta Cake. Superb! The clam soup is my new soup favorite and much more figure friendly that clam chowder.
