DCE for 1st Time

by Jackie R. » Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:49 pm

Hit The DCE (Derby City Espresso) for the first time today. It's on my way to work and I'm embarrassed that I hadn't been in before today. It is SO much more spacious than I would have guessed. And comfortable/ecclectic, to say the least. Matthew was of course behind the counter and friendly as can be. Seriously, this is the type of place you should opt for when you consider going to Starbucks (although, I know I'm preaching to the choir). There is a ton of seating and a patio out back. As well as plenty of distractions and activities. I know he has postly widely about his beer license and selection, but that is such a neat thing. And I did discovered (maybe there was already clarification about it that I missed) that his BBC espresso draft is a "permenant" deal. Isn't that just awesome? I haven't had it yet, but I bet it's real good.

It is a cool place run by cool people. The espresso stout is a "permanent" deal.

Are you coming to NABC this Saturday?

DCE rocks the coffee house scene and has the best beer of any coffee house i've ever set foot in

pizzeria/brewery/coffee shop in the Dam
i couldn't find a good pizza while i was there
or a good Americanized craft brew, like the APA

Amsterdam Brewing, Espresso, & Pizza Company (ABEPC)
Dam City Espresso, Brewing & Pizza Company (DCEBPC)
New Amsterdamian Brewing, Espresso, & Pizza Company (NABEPC)

you guys in
this international franchise conglomerate could dominate tourist destinations throughout the world

folks I guarantee that when decrim comes to the commonwealth that we will change our name from Derby City Espresso to Coffeeshop Derby City... Our herbs selection will match our coffee, tea and beer selections. That's a promise!
