Calistoga Bakery (Louisville)

by Andrew B » Mon Jun 09, 2008 7:31 pm

Does anyone know when the Calistoga Bakery will be opening in Louisville? I know that the Lexington location opened over a month ago, but wanted to know about the Louisville location.

Thanks,
Andrew B.

Just checked there web site and no date listed. Looks like a real nice place. My guess is that it will be on the east/northeast side but dont know that for sure.

Looked at the website on this company - very Panera like business. It states in their press that John Schnatter has purchased a stake in the company.

Schnatter basically owns the company. The company headquarters is in his private office in Anchorage. Based on this it's really strange we don't have several in Louisville. The original plan was to have the first one open by Derby this year which obviously didn't happen. Maybe the high concentration of Panera locations if making them have second thoughts.

Will it do for bakeries what Papa John's does for pizzerias? If so, I don't care if they ever open one here.

I couldn't agree more! Their pizza can hardly be called pizza in my opinion.

Lets toss them under the bus before they even open their doors. Its a great way to encourage new things in Louisville.
