Foodies on the Radio

by Robin F. » Mon Jun 09, 2008 9:28 am

This is just a head's up for all the radio-listening foodies out there. Robin Garr, Deb Hall and Stephen Dennison will be guests tomorrow on State of Affairs (the local call-in talk show on WFPL 89.3 FM) to talk about Being a Foodie.

The time is 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Feel free to call in with your stories, comments, questions, advice, are funny (but clean) foodie jokes! 814-8255/814-talk.

Disclaimer - I am the producer (and a foodie).

Thanks!
Robin

You need to put Robin Garr on a 20 second delay, Robin F. He has some really off color jokes about rhubarb, nuns and the '68 Democratic Convention. (Just kidding  ) Listening forward for it, thanks for the heads up.

For those of us working lunch service tomorrow, is there any chance of a rebroadcast or something online?

Thanks a lot, Ed. They threw me off! :D

Actually, I really won't make it today. Came down with a summer virus (most likely) or something I ate, and I'm not going anywhere today. :P

I know Deb and Stephen will do a great job, though!

Robin,

We really missed you!

I also wanted to apologize: I had every intention of mentioning this site as the community for foodies, even providing a referral as the recipe I brought which is posted on the site. Then I got nervous and totally fogot until about 5 minutes after the show.... Sorry!

I tried to call and bust you for not mentioning the site and the garlic scape question. I called and was told they were full; not excepting more calls.

You and Stephen did a great job!

Did you return the DVD?

There's a link on the website posting for the show to the main forum page so maybe people will find it.

Robin F.

Any chance you can put a link on the show page for "Strawberry with Lavender Syrup Recipe" that links you to the recipe on the forum? I would think some of your listeners might be interested in the recipe.

Thanks again for the opportunity- it was fun!
