Sunday Night Dining

by Mark Head » Fri Jun 06, 2008 10:28 am

Any suggestions for dining out on Sunday evening? This past weekend we did yard work until 7:30 or so then decided to go out for dinner. Just missed Mojitos as they close at 8:30 on Sunday nights. Ultimately we ended up at Molly Malone's. Any other really good options that any one can recommend? I know this is not a big dining-out night but as summer wears on dinner gets later and later into the evening especially on the week-ends.

Plus...I hate loading up in the car and and argument starts..."Where do you want to go to eat?"...."Any where is fine except x, y, and z.".....and so it goes......

The Sunday of Memorial weekend I worked until around 9:15 and stopped by Cafe Lou Lou on the way home. I wasn't sure when they closed on Sunday but I took a chance and they were open until 10! I really just wanted to relax at home, so I ordered a meatball sandwich and tiramisu to go and had a beer at the bar while I waited. They were still seating people when I left.

By the way, the meatball sandwich was incredible as usual. That was the first time I had the tiramisu and it was great. Also, my bartender/server, Melissa, was exceptionally nice. I highly recommend Cafe Lou Lou for Sunday night dining.

Our Seviche Sundays have proved such a success in introducing people to our new location that we are extending half priced wines nights to include Sundays thru Wednesdays. These nights are at the Goose Creek location only, 2929 Goose Creek Road. On Sundays we are still offering half priced seviches, $2 margaritas and $5 mojitos.

This post is from an earlier thread in Louisville Restaurants Forum. It was made April 25 ; I'm not sure if it's still in effect. However, I do know Seviche ( either location ) is a quality establishment.

Thanks for reposting this, the info has changed a bit. Monday thru Wednesday the half prices wine is at the bar only- either inside or outside. We are still offering half priced wine and seviche throughout the restaurant on Sundays, as well as $2 margaritas and $5 mojitos.

Gary thanks for taking such good care of my family during the Mother's Day Brunch at Seviche. My mother and father loved the meal and will doubtlessly become regular diners there. As always my wife, son, and I love Seviche....good to know they are available Sunday nights. Will so you there real soon!

Yes, Cafe Lou Lou is open Sundays. Actually, it's really easy to remember our hours because we are open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner  The only exceptions are some holidays (not all). We were closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and we did not have lunch service on Derby Day. Otherwise, we're almost always there!

Todd, thanks for your kind words - I'll be sure to tell Melissa. The meatball sandwich is a favorite of my boyfriend's, too.
