Varanese/ Wine Rack Dinner

You are cordially invited to join us on June 10 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm for an evening filled with delicious food, great wine and exceptional company.

Chef John Varanese and John Johnson, owner and Sommelier of The Wine Rack, will be pairing up to host a 6- course dinner featuring wines from the Mediterranean region.

$65 per person plus tax and gratuity
Limited Reservations will be accepted

First Course: Banfi Le Rime Pinot Grigio/ Chardonnay (Italy)
Grilled Diver Scallop served with a Blood Orange- Ginger Reduction and Prosecco Foam

Second Course: Naia Verdejo (Spain)
Goat Cheese and Serrano Ham Stuffed Peach

Third Course: Chateau Saint Roch Cotes du Rhone (France)
Pan Seared Duck Breast with Orange- Hazelnut Chutney over Roquette

Fourth Course: Borsao Crianza (Spain)
Black Plum BBQ Ribs with Baby Bok Choy Accompaniment

Fifth Course: Venta Mazzaron Tempranillo (Spain)
Espresso Rubbed Lamb Chops mirrored with a Black Cherry Sauce and Pablano Spiced Potatoes

Sixth Course: Banfi Rosa Regale (Italy)
Chocolate Lava Cake with Pistachio Ice Cream

Fruit flavored in every course except dessert. Looks interesting though.

It's almost as if it were planned that way, purposely. A chef, sitting in his office, staring at the flavor wheel and recalling the tasting session. Then considering how best to play with the characteristics of each wine.

If you notice, the wines are featured and the food is second mentioned. This was not by accident. :wink:
