Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement Market Meals Cook-Off
http://www.louisvilleky.gov/Health/MHHM ... ookoff.htmThe Mayor's Healthy Hometown Movement, Kentucky Proud, and Pennyrile Allied Community Services are sponsoring a series of events this summer at Louisville's neighborhood Farmers' Markets.
24 local chefs will compete across the city to create "Winning Market Meals," dishes created from fresh, local ingredients that can be easily recreated by cooks at home in approximately 30 minutes. They will be judged on originality, nutrition and overall taste, and how easily the recipe can be replicated by the average home cook.
The competition is part of an effort to promote healthy, home cooked meals and increased consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables grown locally.
