Lois, Hubby had the #17 taco, burrito, rice and bean. The burrito had this wonderful red pepper sauce on top and was delicious. I had the grilled shrimp w/ peppers and onions. It was really good. Tons of shrimp! When they brought out the salsa and chips, did you also get that white creamy dip too? What was that? It was loud and I couldn't hear what it was when I asked our waiter. I really enjoyed it though. So glad we finally tried it out! Now we are asking ourselves, "HOw well would this travel to get home to Sellersburg?"

I can't figure out the white dip either. Obviously it's not white queso, but I don't know what it is.

The portability of the food would depend largely on how they pack it, but it's sure worth a shot. You're not far from C'ville, so give it a try.

Well, thanks to this thread, we were on our way to Famous Dave's and instead went here. I was pleasantly pleased. Service was great, we had the most beautiful, pleasant young lady taking care of us. Our food rocked too. The Chile Verde was PHENOMENAL; tender hunks of pork slathered with a spicy, green salsa. Mmmmmmmmm. Their rice is different and tasty, full of veggies. Southern Indiana is becoming a mecca of good Mexican restaurants.

There seems to be a whole slew of Senor Iguana locations:

Still looking pretty independent to me. Lots of restaurants bear the same name in common with others in other cities. They share a website with noone and the couple of menus I was able to view are not exactly alike. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see where.

Amy, your right about the rice! I forgot to mention that. It's full of veggies! Kinda sorta like fried rice but with a mexican twist? I was trying to think of the best way to describe it. We were very impressed with the place too. I can't want to go back! What is your take on the white creamy dip they brought w/ the chips and salsa?

They are part of a chain. I know most of the original management team was from South Carolina when they first started converting the restaurant over from its prior occupant. They came into my store looking to buy all their liquor and beer from me, as they did in SC (I wish I legally could have gotten away with doing that too!) In talking to them, it sounds like they are fairly independant from their home office.
