Okay, seriously, I'm outta touch with the Derby celebs, so I googled Prince/Derby to find out if you were talking about Harry or Charles being here this year and I would be colored uninformed. But no, according to my rapid research, no princes attended, (with exception to my friend , Rohit from India, but that is another very interesting story...) So Leann, are you serious, or just that funny!!! I know what a Prince Albert is, and can only wonder if everyone else does, too!!! Please advise...

While I'm highly amused by the turn this thread has taken, I think Leann was refering to Prince Albert of Monaco...

I had the pleasure of hosting the Derby Princess's for both Oaks' Brunch and Derby Dinner...

Not quite the high profile celebs but... It did make my day....

Jessica H is right. I was talking about Prince Albert of Monaco (Grace Kelly's son). He was definitely here. He's here almost every year for Derby.

I met Prince Albert this year; very nice and extraordinarily humble acting, in my opinion. My other favorite meet was Taylor Hicks. Him and my husband were buddies and he took us all over town with him. I got to meet almost everyone that I wanted to meet thanks to them. It was probably my best Derby ever. (so I am cheating a little bit, I didn't see/meet anyone from a restaurant, I am just excited about it)

While we didn't get to "meet" these folks, my husband and I did spot Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and her husband Edwin leaving Proof late on Derby night. We also saw Adrian Grenier there and in the lobby of the hotel. :D Later we found out that they had all attended the party at 21c. We also spotted Bily Gillispie at Jeff Ruby's. Boy was that place a madhouse, and with no OJ in sight!
When in doubt, add more wine.
