Eclectica Gallery Presents Local Photographer
Fred Minnick’s unique works will be unveiled at a gallery for the first time.

PROSPECT, Ky.—Eclectica Gallery announces the showing of local photographer Fred Minnick for May 17 at 5 p.m.

On show for the first time is Minnick’s unique food, people and architecture photography.

“We are so pleased to be showing the works of such a young and talented photographer,” says Elizabeth “Cissy” Schuhmann, owner of the Eclectica Gallery, located in the Norton Commons community at 9426 Norton Commons Blvd; Prospect, Ky. 40059. “He has such a great eye for color in food and objects that reflect hope and life.”

His food collection shows the influence of international cooking and down-home country cooking as well as the wonderful textures and colors of vegetables and fruit. His renowned people photography displays the wonderful details in the human face, such as the curly mustache of Minnick’s “French Cheesemaker” or the dark eyes and graying dreads of his “Saint Lucian Man” or the thick eyebrows of the “Iraqi Farmer.”

Minnick, 29, an international writer and photographer, has photographed everything from the Iraq War to food to college sports. His Iraq works are currently on display at the Fort Lewis, Wash., historical museum and have been published in newspapers and magazines all over the world, including Pakistan, India and China. ...
