(Louisville, Kentucky) The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), Student Farmworker Alliance (SFA) and Alliance for Fair Food announces a Demonstration for Monday April 9 at 7:30 a.m. on the sidewalk in front of the McDonalds restaurant at Broadway and 2nd Street to kickoff this year’s CIW Truth Tour to pressure McDonalds Corporation to come to the table to further justice for farmworkers who pick their tomatoes, on the heels of the historic Taco Bell CIW agreement. An alternative free breakfast will be served, as CIW makes this stop off on their way to Oakbrook, Illinois and McDonalds headquarters on April 13, and to a downtown Chicago Carnival for Justice and Dignity celebration on April 14th.
