Can anyone recommend any hidden gems in the Huntingburg / French Lick area of Indiana? Thanks to all.

Schnitzelbank is in Jasper, which is only a few miles from both locations. It is fabulous German food worthy of the drive from Louisville, let alone French Lick. Back in high school we drove the drivers ed car from the Knobs to Jasper because my teacher wanted to eat there.

We stayed at Beechwood a couple months ago when there for a concert. We had dinner at the Italian place in the winery. Service was awful and the food was so-so. We had breakfast at Beechwood, but found it odd that they offered only sugary waffles and didn't ask about dietary needs or substitutions. When we checked in, we had no clue who showed us to the room nor did anyone introduce themselves or give us a dinner menu. We thought the entire stay was really strange. It's a nice B&B, spacious and pretty, but I'm not sure how the dining would be. We're trying the restaurant in West Baden on the next trip.
