In as well. If we get a date together I will talk to Sergio and try to reserve the card tables in the back room.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Ooh, yeah. John - you organize. I myself will look into group transportation so as to avoid DUI's that far out in the other county.

Please, please let's avoid "during Ryder Cup" Sept 16-30th and "Phoenix Hill Chili Cookoff" Sunday October 12th.

Eye eye!!! I can't do weekdays and won't have a totally free weekend for one month (post 4th and 5th). The following weekend? I'm clear definately then.

S. Cruz: Surely you're into this too. I look forward to meeting you. Think we have some commonalities. Maybe you should be on the "bus" that is in the planning stages.

Ok, So far we have Lynch in charge of the "special" bus. We have a request for no weekdays also no Ryder dates. Maybe some time in the first few weeks of October? Lets let this thread ferment a bit a see where it goes. I will do what I can as far as organizing this, but most likely anything that gets done will be the direct result of Anne.

It's getting awfully complicated, but it also sounds like huge fun!

Let's do try to nail down a date, and I will then also experiment with setting it up as an Event in Facebook as well as talking it up here.

Early October sounds excellent, but don't forget that the first weekend is St. James Court.

Second Saturday in October?

Mike and I wandered in there earlier in the year. Sergio was on the way out to deliver a food order. People at the bar, that we knew from BBC and Richo's, got our beers for us while he was gone. We had chips then ordered food when he returned - took two more meals at home to eat the burrito. There was a gap in service again as we were ready to leave. He had disappeared again:-) Mike stuck his head in the kitchen and found Sergio. He went back to our table, gathered up our empty bottles, and brought them to the register so that he could ring up our check. We would love to go back, but forget about heading out in that direction. Nice to drive out Shelbyville Road something we don't do very often either.

Calendar Says: Second SATURDAY is okay, Second SUNDAY is not, Third SATURDAY is better.

Why? Phoenix Hill Chili Cook-Off. 10/12. My third year. Don't arrange the trip around me (heck I don't even know if Sergio is open on Sunday) but I would love a chance to gear up without missing a forum event.

BTW, a van that holds 12 (about the number that have expressed interest) would be about $200, with insurance, without gas, to rent. That leaves finding/paying/tipping a driver. So far.

I will take one for the team and go on Saturday the 11th (even though I have to make two birthday cakes and prepare for the chili cook-off) if I have to. But I would not be able to go before 2 PM because of work. DO NOT arrange it around me, though...and I will be happy to help make arrangements even if I can't go. Jackie, will you chaperone my boyfriend if I can't go?
