Oaks and Derby Box Lunches - Who's doing them this year?

by Terry Cook » Wed Apr 23, 2008 10:41 am

I posted this last year and got a great list of places to choose from. It was very helpful to me personally and to those I work with.

If anyone has Oaks and/or Derby box lunches on the menu this year, please let me know. If you can easily post the menu (or a link to the menu) even better.

Thanks in advance!

If La Grange is not too far for you to pick up, Norma Jean's Trackside will be offering box lunches from a host of sandwichs on our regular menu. Send me your e-mail address and I will forward you a PDF of the menu. Our address is njeanburley@netscape.net. Thanks.

I think it's safe to assume that you can get box lunches at Lotsa Pasta, too ... and they do great work!

Melillo's will be doing box lunches for both days. We have Churchill Downs approved containers and the boxes will included a sandwich, chips, brownie, pasta salad and a piece of fruit for $10. Choose any coldcut sandwich, chicken salad, gorgonzola cheese spread with roasted red pepper relish, country ham salad or tuna salad. Give us a call at 540-9975 and we'll add your order to our list.

Re: Oaks and Derby Box Lunches - THE FRESH MARKET

by RichardM » Thu Apr 24, 2008 8:32 am

Standard disclosure - I work for THE FRESH MARKET. No tip jars. :)

We will be having Oaks and Derby box lunches again this year. I am not in the deli so I don't know exactly what they are putting in them, but I recommend the wraps! YUMMY. Call 244-1844, ask for Deli and put in your order.

Richard

P.S. We <me and the produce department> are making fruit trays, strawberry trays and veggie trays. PLEASE CALL YOUR ORDER IN EARLY FOR THEM. As always thanks for your support
