Rick Adams at Captain's Quarters?

by Robin Garr » Fri Apr 06, 2007 7:42 am

So reports the CJ's "Dish" column this morning ... good news, if true, although I wish Rick had dropped by here to let us know. Best wishes to the guy in his new post!

I heard this as well. I'd love to see Rick turn the food around at that place.

Sorry I did not post the news here before. It's been a crazy week and a half. It's kinda wild that seventeen years ago I started as a dishwasher there and now I'm back as the Executive Chef. Right now I'm still getting my feet wet and have not made any major changes but I do expect the new menu will be out after Thunder.

Did you bother to read the thread and discover that the whole point is that the place has a new chef now?

that's good Robert. That's your opinion and your entitled to it. See how your criticism of this place does not cause me to become apoplectic and launch into a screed of defensive ranting? It can be done. I swear. We can all have different opinions, and it . . . is . . . o.k.

Robert, what you fail to understand is that the reason your opinions don't bother me is that they are irrelevant to me. You may love overcooked, low grade meat, and you may know the best places to get such a delicacy. That is super for you.

From what I understand, for Robert to enjoy a meal, It must be cost less than ten dollars.(tip included) 8) Thats why he frequents most chains because he has a "proceived value" issue with most independent places.I can only assume that he feels all local restaurant owners are shady, and they over price the food so they can drive expensive vehicles.

Rick Adams at Captain's Quarters?

by Doogy R » Sat Apr 07, 2007 1:53 am

Back to Rick Adams at Captain's Quarters. I dine there often and really didn't see the falling off stated here. I believe the Masterson's did a great job reviving the place. If it will be better, then more power to Rick. I drop in often during the warm season. Rick, I hope to meet you.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I will have to agree Doogy. I also think that Masterson's did a fine job with getting the place back on track. And now I'm looking forward to even better things! And in the summer the patio is fab!
