I've always thought that was a killer for the location - the traffic trying to get into or out of that location is terrible at noon.

The location never seemed to keep customers away what I was Garrett's! Oh wait, Garrett's actually had good food.

Unfortunately that happens all too often. A successful restaurant opens a second location and is unable to maintain quality and momentum and ends up closing both as this thread also demonstrates. Fortunately for Louisville we have several recent successes in opening a second restaurant (Seviche and Mojito) and I'm sure it will also be a positive move for Cafe Lou Lou.

Okay Dan! I'm in!! Got skills but noooooooooo......mmmmmonnney! If you have credit (which I used to have...way back when) then YES!! Let's open an independent to compete with the mega-chains, in spite of our current dismal economy. (can't lose any more $$ on my end eh?) P.M. Me as I am somewhat interested in a project like that! (hell, you only live once........)

Or, for that matter, throwing out the political. Apparently trollism is phonetic in some manifestations.

I've got to disagree with that one!

Many many times we went, only to wait even with a reservation because they were so full!

We stopped going because the food went downhill. Their roast beef (prime rib) turned fatty, their steaks were tough and tasteless. One time we gave them another shot, and were greeted by a new manager; in talking, he had recently graduated from Sullivan, and was hired to upgrade their food and service to back what it used to be (they recognized it had gone downhill). The restaurant stayed good for a time, then suddenly it closed on Lime Kiln.

I don't know any details, but I think that after they hired the Sullivan grad it was just too little too late!
