Who's got the best Buffalo wings Louisville?

by Sarita C » Mon Apr 21, 2008 3:39 pm

That seems to be all my husband likes to order when we are out and I'm sick and tired of fern bars.

I am attaching a link to an earlier thread about wings. It isn't specific to Buffalo style wings, but may be a good place to start. I am sure a lot of suggestions will soon be pouring in.

Thanks Doogy. I read thru the posts. We tried Cumberland Brews...he didnt care too much for the spice on the Jerk wings. I think it was the allspice that was too much for him.

Its been a while since I've been there, but Rumors in Middletown had some fantastic wings. Wings n Things on Charlestown Road(not sure of other locations) has decent wings as well.

You'll also find short reviews of nine worthy wing spots in the LEO/LouisvilleHotBytes column, "On Wings of Fire," Sept. 12, 2007. Review here

I like Fox & Hound for the size, but I like BW3 for the sauce.

Fox has super jumbo wings. The skin gets nice and crispy, but there is still plenty of meat inside. Their best sauces are Hot, Hot Honey, and Daredevil BBQ.

At BW3, I love the Hot, Caribbean Jerk, Spicy Garlic, and Mango Habanero to name a few. Unfortunately, there is barely ever much to the wings it seems.

I personally make a mean Hot Honey BBQ with Frank's Red Hot, Black and Cayenne Pepper, Garlic Phase, Honey, and some Sweet Baby Ray's.

I'm suddenly starving...

Just to get focussed a bit, I believe Sarita was inquiring about Buffalo wings. I like all wings, so that is why I didn't offer a specific place. Maybe she will let us know if other styles are acceptable as well. :D
