Wedding Cakes

by Michelle R. » Mon Apr 21, 2008 12:16 pm

A couple of dear friends are getting married very soon, and are looking for an attractive yet (very) affordable wedding cake....this is a young couple with limited funds who are looking to have as nice a wedding as possible on a small budget. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well . . .here's my website. Pricing is posted. http://www.LouisvilleWeddingCake.com

Hope that wasn't tooo blatant and self-serving.

Also, if your friends use at least two vendors from the Louisville Wedding Network, they get a 5% discount from each vendor they use.

I'm a member of the Network.

I wanted something really different when we got married. I went to the KY State fair and saw several cakes by a woman named Judy Brown. She created a UofL and UofK cake for us that was precious, delicious and ridiculously reasonable. Last I heard, she still had her day job at St Joseph's on Frankfort.

I am getting married in August & using Adrienne & Co. Bakery in Jeffersonville. Her prices are very reasonable & some of the yummiest cake I have ever eaten.

While I did not take the traditional wedding cake route for my reception I got my wedding "desserts" from Jessica at Sweet Surrender. She was very nice and very accommodating. Everyone raved about our spread. I have seen pictures of her wedding cake work and was very impressed. My husband and I are regulars at her shop and are never disappointed.

Carolyn Braden did a cake for my sisters baby shower. She also does wedding cakes.
