New Event for Foodies from Local Morning Show

by Aaron M » Mon Apr 21, 2008 9:30 am

I know this is plug-ish, but I asked Robin's permission before posting (and he was gracious enough to allow me to share this with you).

I'm one of the members of the Lambert and Lindsey Morning Show on 102.3 The Max, and we have a new event series called the "Lambert and Lindsey Dining Tour." We're setting up fun dining events with local restaurants for fans of our show and our station (but you're welcome to come even if you don't like either). The goal is to create a "dining experience" - draw people into places they've never been and treat them special. Plus it gives local restaurants a unique way to get some advertising.

Our first event was at 60 West last week. Our next one is coming up May 20th at Seviche on Goose Creek Rd. Chef Lamas has planned a 3-course menu for our group, and the price is $59 per person (including the first cocktail from one of our sponsors, Southern Wine and Spirits). The Chef will be on hand to host the event and talk to the group, plus of course the morning show will be on-hand to interact with everyone. We're excited because the three of us on the morning show LOVE Seviche. And we love events like this where we can meet and hang out with the listeners, because in this era of syndication, we're one of the few local morning shows in Louisville (and our station is one of the few that isn't owned by a giant media empire), and this gives us a chance to interact with fans in a more intimate setting (who also get a chance to check out local restaurants they might not have visited otherwise - and interact with the chefs).

We have a lot of other local restaurants that have been calling us expressing interest in participating, and as long as attendance stays strong, we plan on continuing this for a long time to come. If you're interested in coming, you can call the Goose Creek Seviche and make a reservation. If you have more questions or want info (or to look at the menu) you can email me or check out the Max's website (http://www.themaxfm.com).

Thanks for reading!
