Havana Rumba and Mojito have partner up with a Local Farmer.
We are exited to announce that Havana Rumba and Mojito has partnered up with Mark Borrow owner of 50 acre farm in Trimble Co. Ky. And Kentucky Black Gold cigars.
The plan is for the restaurants to buy 25 acres and have home grown vegetables for both restaurants.
All this came about from Chef Martinez resent trip to France and enjoying the quality of the produce there. Mr. Borrow and Chef Martinez will be growing all of the produce used in both restaurants and will also be raising free range chickens as well. Also have plans to purchase green houses to have fresh produce all year long.
Next tuesday we will be changing our menu at Mojito with new interesting options for lunch and dinner. Some of our favorite items will stay on the menu.
Some of the new items are:
Goat Cheese Stuffed Piquillo Peppers with frisee salad and truffle oil vinaigrette.
Veggie paella rice fritters stuffed with mozzarella.
Pan con Tomate- heirloom tomato sandwich with mozzarella, basil, garlic olive oil and balsamic reduction.
Lomito salteado sandwich - Grilled tenderloin seasoned with sea salt and fresh ground pepper, topped with caramelized onions, imported Spanish Manchego cheese and shoestring yucca and potato fries.
Tamal de Mariscos-Authentic Cuban corn tamale seasoned with sofrito and topped with Shrimp and craw fish in a tomato wine Creole sauce.
Just to name a few.
Hope to see you all soon and tell us what you think,
Fernando M
