Jack's Lounge

by DeeDee D » Thu Apr 05, 2007 9:33 pm

Went to Jack's tonight for the first time, had a wonderful, relaxing time. Hubby ordered the burger w/ fries and I had the hot brown w/ onion rings! Those onion rings are the best ever! They are a must have. Hubby loved the burger, as I did the hot brown. We started w/ the nachos, so no room for dessert, although the woodford reserve creme brulee was very tempting. Had a great time and will make this a regular stop for us.

This is a great place to unwind. Very relaxing, great food, drinks, and service.
It feels like your eating in your living room.

This is what we said also. A few of the tables for 2 are a bit small though, one older lady's plate went to the floor due to the small table size. The TV Trays are a nice touch, loved the atmosphere.

I did not know they had TV trays. At first we were intimidated by eating at the coffee tables, but the servers make you feel at home. Almost took off my shoes.

I'm sure it was brought up on the old board but where is Jack's?

Note that the smoking references in this old review are now entirely non-operational, as Deano boldly took Jack's fully non-smoking before the city's smoking ordinance passed.

It's located adjacent to Equus in St. Matthews, shares the same ownership and management, and serves Equus's appetizers as bar munchies.

It's probably my favorite bar.

which is another good reason to have an updated "smoking/non smoking"
list of places. Not making any statements, it would just be helpful.
