PSA: O'Shea's RIDE FOR RON is Saturday

by Robin Garr » Wed Apr 16, 2008 11:58 am

Ride for Ron - Sunday

Ron Christensen has worked in O'Shea's kitchen for more than a decade. On March 24 he underwent open heart surgery to have a triple bypass. His recuperation will take some time, during which he won't be able to work. To help ease his recovery, Ron will be the beneficiary of this year's Earth Day Bike Ride! We'll take off from O'Shea's, ride down Baxter to historic Main Street (including a stop at the BBC Tap Room), through downtown Louisville to 15th Street, we'll then ride the river walk to Shawnee Park and back to O'Shea's.

Sunday, April 20th at 12 noon
Starting point: O'Shea's Irish Pub
956 Baxter Ave. in the Highlands
To sign up call 589-7373 (Sarah Egbert) or 585-3700 (Bill Belinger)

Suggested fee: $30

100% of all funds raised will be matched by the O'Shea's Family of Pubs and will go directly to Ron's family.

Feel free to have people sponsor you and donate towards your goal of finishing the ride.

All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, and enjoy a free food and soft drink buffet after the ride.

Man, you are fast. Thank you for posting. This is the second annual Earth Day Bike Ride and true to style Tommy O'Shea has picked a worthy cause. It's time to dust off the bike and join in the fun!
Cheers,
