Despite passing Barbara Lee's on a very regular basis, I have never eaten there. Yet somehow, homey stores like this one make it a place I must now visit.

A very sweet little story. Thanks for posting it.

Barbara Lee's is my favorite place for that post-bar 3 AM meal. You never know who you're going to run into there.
