New favorite since yesterday: Southern Grits Scramble at The Cafe on Brent Street. Yesterday was our second visit and the food has been wonderful both times. I'm gonna go ahead and guess they are using Weisenberger Mills white stone ground grits, or some other high-end, non-instant grits, plus cheese, crispy bacon, properly scrambled (not overdone or overheld) eggs and decent spring romas roasted on top. My boyfriend got the corned beef sandwich and was very very happy, too.

Last time I got the chicken salad sand and it was really great (not as good as MY chicken salad, but a great example of restaurant chix salad, to say the least), and he got the roast beef/horseradish sandwich.

Grits. They are the ultimate comfort food.

Burger w/provolone, side of kale and a martini at Jack's Lounge. Sorry if this is a double post.
