St. Patrick's Parade-Highlands

Today is the Parade and have not seen much press on this except in bar listings--this is such a great day and features all things local. I have no affiliation to the Parade, just tons of friends who have floats/cars/walking, plus the local bars on Baxter are all having great Irish specials and good BBC beers! Even though it might rain, it should be a good day for a parade... :D

I saw a few print ads for the parade in LEO recently and agree this is a great event. O'Shea's and Flannagan's have a large selection of beers and Molly Malone's has the upstairs deck for a wonderful overhead view of the parade. The parking in the "area" and the pubs fill up quickly so get there as soon as you can way before 3 PM and bring an umbrella!

The Parade was a success even with the rain. My daughter and I hung at nios with other families and friends since they had a great inside area where you could still have a good view of the parade. All the parade walkers and beer drinkers seemed to be having a good o'time!
