Was it over here on 10th Street, across from Big Lots and Sonic, next to Curves?

If so, NO, it's been gone quite a while. Mexican restaurant now. Name escapes me at the moment.

Yeah that place didnt last long. I recall it having just opened when I moved over to the area. I ate there once and wasnt impressed, it closed shortly after.

Well, Mr. Spaghetti had a bit of a run in New Albany and then moved to Jeffersonville but I never visited the Jeff location.

Nothing fancy at all and can only be described as thrown together Italian but I always thought it was very good and really liked the Russian Spaghetti.

Kim H. Russian Spaghetti looked like normal spaghetti and meatballs but the meatballs were made of Beef, rice and peppers and the sauce used on the Russian Spaghetti was a little on the sweet side.

Again, loved it and would love to have the recipe for the meatballs and the sauce.

the sauce is equal parts russian dressing and apricot jam mixed together and heated in a pan. (do we have a vomit emoticon?)

Ron,

Thanks for the reply but the sauce I remember was tomato based.

Russian Spaghetti

Many people use this recipie as a marinade or glaze for chicken, but it is also delicious over spaghetti. Really it is, give it a try!

1 small bottle Russian salad dressing

1 16 oz jar apricot jam

Mix the two ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl. Heat through, serve over spaghetti.

I moved from Jeffersonville to Jeffersontown last June and Mr. Spag was already closed by then....

The sauce was way too sweet for my palate....

I tried them twice while they were open.. and didn't care for what they had to offer...

That's because spaghetti comes from China!

Seems like the name is in reference to the Russian Dressing, not that it's a Russian pasta delicacy. And of course, Russian Dressing probably isn't from Russia either:

Wikipedia:

Russian dressing was invented in the United States in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

Some claim that the dressing's name originated in the fact that the condiment in those days typically included caviar, a food associated with Russia.

I have a sweet tooth, and thought the Russian spagetti was too sweet. The spagetti with pineapple was interesting, however.

However, we got turned off by them for some reason, so we only went a few times before giving them up. Maybe it was the service?
