Kentucky Crafted -- try out a lot of locally produced foods

by Steve Magruder » Fri Mar 07, 2008 5:12 pm

Kentucky Crafted takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Kentucky Exposition Center, and despite the snow, I hope a lot of people can make it to this fine show.

Today's C-J has a very good article about it, and both Consuming Louisville and Louisville History & Issues are covering it as well.

This is a great show for foodies. If it's the same as the previous two years, they will have one full aisle dedicated to food products made by Kentucky producers, and the vast majority of the booths hand out loads of free samples. Especially try out the fabulous cheeses from Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese -- it's out-of-this-world tasty! (and makes a good compliment to the wines you can't currently buy in grocery stores!)

I hope everyone will consider going. You'll be glad you did.

Kentucky Crafted was essentially dead due to the snow today, but by all accounts, the roads tomorrow will be pretty good.

I hope everyone will consider heading out to it.

Damn. I wish I had seen this post earlier. I would have loved to make it out for this.
