Hosts Cocktail Party to Promote
National MS Awareness Month in March

WHO: Louisville Comprehensive Care Multiple Sclerosis Center, Inc. (MS Center) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 and is not affiliated with any national MS organization. The Center is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of people living with MS through advocacy, support and education.

WHAT: A cocktail party to promote MS Awareness Month with hors d'oeuvres by Jeff Jarfi and cocktails by Heaven Hill Distilleries to benefit the MS Center. The MS Center offers free monthly community-based educational seminars, accredited MS-related seminars for healthcare professionals, mental health counseling with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, professionally-led support groups, in-house social services, lending library and internet access for research, a variety of therapeutic workshops, social events, and a competent and caring staff of professionals. A minimum donation of $20.00 per person is suggested at the door. The sponsors of this event include: Heaven Hill Distilleries, Acorda, Bayer Healthcare Services, BiogenIdec, EMD Serono, Pfizer, Inc., and Teva Neuroscience.

Robin,
Thank you for posting about this cocktail party. This Center is a great thing and my doctor, Dr. Roy Meckler, is very involved. MS is a very mysterious disease and affects each person differently. I have been very blessed to have not been affected much (knocking on wood like crazy here!) and have been on medication for years. I'd love to see some forumites at this event!
