Zackly. Love the anchovies but they fare not well in the uber hot pizza oven.

I'm one of those damn vegetarians - I love FRESH spinach on a pie! Mushrooms, fresh spinach, and a handful of green olives for the saltiness I am missing due to a lack of meat products. YUM!

I only like cheese, extra cheese that is, on my pizza. Surprise surprise, right?!?! We also prefer for the pizza to be easy on the sauce unless it's Bearnos.

I thought it was weird at first, but after trying a pizza with ranch instead of tomato sauce :?: , grilled chicken, bacon, onions and peppers; I was totally hooked and have made them at home on several occasions! :D

My standard from pizza joints is sausage + onions, and that's all. When making at home I tend to go with a combination of hot capicola and genoa salami, instead of sausage, maybe with some diced green pepper.

I will not hesitate to call the International Pizza Police and have you arrested should you continue to insist that it is acceptable to call this a pizza.

Come Back Inn had a special pizza the other night with prosciutto, mushrooms and Gorgonzola. Really good that night and even better for breakfast.

I love fresh spinach on my pizza. And garlic, but the garlic has to be roasted. And mushrooms.
But I'm a little odd because though I love cheese, I don't like a whole lot of it on my pizza.

When I lived in Michigan, there was a place that had a baked ziti pizza. Which, as it sounds was a cheese pizza with baked ziti on top. It was definitely carb overload but it was soooo good!

Now I want pizza...

Mike, I could make you one (sans the bacon and chicken of course)and I might be able to make a believer out of you...No it's not REAL pizza in a traditional since, but it's darn tasty none the less :P

I prefer a spinach, prosciutto and herbed goat cheese pizza.

Wow, does that sound good!

Shawn Vest wrote:can we get the goat cheese from capriole (they make great cheese)

I love their goat cheese! If you really do this, we will be there all the time!

We usually get ham, bacon, onions, and banana peppers on a thin, well done crust. I like Kurt's idea better, but this combo is great for a basic pizza!

Come on folks, onions are beating Pepperoni?? I mean I like onions on a pizza as well as the next guy but my first choice is certainly Pepperoni. I've also read elsewhere that it's by far the most popular topping in the United States. Are the contributors to the forum just that eclectic or........

No matter what they would consider their favorite topping, it's hard for most people, I would think, not also to include onions. A lot of things go in stews, but almost all of them have onions. It's a necessary, uh, spice.
