Deli Trays

by Carol C » Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:48 pm

I'm sure most of us on occassion have the need to order a prepared deli tray. I just came from our great niece's 4th birthday party and her parents had ordered a meat and cheese tray, a veggie tray and a fruit tray from Valu Market (on Hurstbourne). They were by far the nicest that I have seen (previously ordered from both chains and local grocers). There was a good variety of meat and cheese and all were tasty. The fruit and veggies were very fresh and very attractively arranged. Each came with a dip/spread which I didn't try--I think the meat tray was w/ mayo. There was a variety of buns(separate)--wheat, rye and white--not your standard Bunny bread!!! I was impressed and will certainly think of Valu FIRST when I need a deli tray. I assume all locations have the same thing. Also, our nephew said they were very reasonable. Plus, they are local!!!

I've always received very nice and plentiful deli trays from the Paul's Fruit Market on Taylorsville Rd. Plus, they use Boar's Head lunch meats and cheeses, so the quality is never an issue.

I would not have suspected ValuMarket of doing such a great job, I'll have to give them a try!
