Karma Cafe

I'd never been there and we stopped for a casual lunch with our 4 year old. The sign (daily specials) said that the lobster bisque was made fresh daily. I thought that it sounded good and ordered it. I received it with cold (semi-frozen) pieces in it, so I tried to flag out waiter down. And tried. And tried. 15 minutes later I was able to grab another server and she sent him over (it was weird because we thought he was looking straight at us every time we were waving at him). Anyhow, at this point, my husband was close to done with his meal (I told him to go ahead.) The server was apologetic when he came over and very nice but then it took him forever to bring us the check and another forever to process the check.

I am disappointed because I really wanted to like the place! I love the low-key bohemian atmosphere and the options on the menu, but nothing went right. Bummer.

We have totally given up on the Karma Cafe, the biggest issue being the service. I even wrote a review for the LEO/Hotbytes blog with a big ding on the service problems and went back a couple of weeks after to see if they paid any attention and it was WORSE!! A lot of the food is good, I really want to like this place, but you can't get a problem solved or a server's attention to save your life.
