I've heard, but have no confirmation, that it's going to have two different sections/feels: one menu and side of the restaurant will focus on more casual and comfort food and the other on more upscale, creative food including lots of innovative vegetarian cuisine. That last part has me really, really excited. Again, this is just what I've heard and I have no confirmation so it could just be idle speculation. I hope it's true though.

Saw Anoosh at Z's the other night. He has been working there for a few months. He said he definitely has something in the works and he hopes it will be real soon.

Nothing to add to what the others have said, really, but if you'll check out the Dining for Dan post, you'll see that Anoosh is one of the participating chefs, and he's listed with "Shariat's Bistro, coming soon."

Anoosh told my wife at Z's last night that he's nearly ready to open at the former Bittner's location at Holiday Manor. Apparently it's a very large space that will allow several rooms for dining, and he's hoping to have a large take-out desert business. Won't be long! He said he's very much looking forward to seeing his regulars versus the convention visitors he frequently worked with downtown.

Former Bittner's Location.... can you refresh me on that one?

Would that be the place that occupied Genesis?

That is correct, Heather. It was Bittners then Genesis. Holiday Manor is now foodie Mecca.

It's directly across the parking lot from Mojito's, at the rte 22 corner of the "Holiday Manor Walk".

Don't forget Tokyo (sushi) and Dooley's (bagel) on the next block, along with Austin's, Chinese buffet, et al. And, who could forget Dairy Queen, Wendy's, McD's, and 17 banks!
