New restaurant; Harvest, formerly Fusion?

by Jeremy Mott » Fri Mar 30, 2007 11:21 am

Okay, I'm a bit confused. Not sure if it was discussed here (tried to search) but a few weeks back, I read this story in the C-J:
http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070306/NEWS01/70306027/-1/ZONE01

In a nutshell, it seemed as if an organic-themed restaurant was to be opened at 1605 Story Ave. Did some research...apparently the guys are regulars at the Highlands farmers market?

Anyway, now I am seeing this:
Really long link embedded here
And this:
http://www.louproperties.com/cms/HistoricCafe/tabid/110/Default.aspx

So, does anybody know if Harvest is still a go?

BTW, used to be somewhat of a techie and would've been able to figure out how to resize/line break that long link (or even put in a placeholder), but I guess I no longer have the touch.

If those are the "omelet guys" at the Bardstown Road Farmers Market, they have been talking about finding a permanent place for the last 2 seasons. I used to work at the firehouse across the street and they were my favorite Sat breakfast. Is the Farmer's market open yet? May drive by and look tomorrow...assuming my leg cooperates - works some days, not others.

The last issue of The Highlander said the market would open officially April 14, but that some vendors would probably be there sooner ...

Jeremy, it's probably not your fault. For reasons that aren't quite clear to me, this forum software doesn't support full HTML, but uses an odd blend of a crippled HTML and an odd code called BBcode. The easiest way to get a tutorial is to open a new post or reply and then hover your mouse pointer over the various buttons - a one-line tip will appear just above the message entry window. The URL button, specifically, explains thusly:

Insert URL: {url}http://url{/url} or {url=http://url]URL text{/url}

I'm substituting squiggly brackets for the necessary square brackets here so the system won't swallow them. For a real link, use square brackets.

Note that this is essentially similar to the HTML coding a href and /a (in angle brackets) but uses square brackets and no quote marks around URLs.

For simplicity, just paste in an actual URL at the left margin and you don't need to fool with coding - it will show as a hotlink when the message posts.

But if you want your link to be pretty - especially if the link is very long - then {url=http://yourlinkhere}Hotlink text{/url} is the way to go.
