Bushmills Sister City Voting

by James Wise » Mon Feb 18, 2008 2:04 pm

I just wanted to let everybody know that Bushmills Irish Whiskey is having a contest to name a sister city for Busmills Ireland. Somehow Louisville KY has made it to the short list of canadates (the other two being Boston Mass, and Portland MA.) If we win it would mean Bushmills would probably be pumping a large amount of cash into our local economy, and for those of us that sell booze we would probably see in increase in our Bushmills sales. You can v

ote at http://www.bushmills.com.

I've gotten this email from a couple of sources, and I can not find how to vote on the webiste. I've clicked everything that looks like it pertains to Twin/Sister Cities and nothing much happens.

All you do is put in your date of birth to enter the site. After that it is on the far left of the screen, under twin cities. You have to give them your e-mail address and some other info also.

Please take a minute to vote at http://www.bushmills.com WE ARE WINNING!!!

Naming Louisville "Bushmills Twin City" would bring an Irish festival to Louisville every year.

Imagine the boost to the local economy if we pull tourism from Indy, Cincy, Nashville, etc...

Come meet Gordon Donoghue, Bushmills Master Distiller,at Sully's Salloon, Monday, March 3 starting at 5:00 pm to celebrate the city of Louisville being named one the finalist cities in the Bushmills Twin Cities Search.

Featuring $3 Bushmills Original drink special and a $20 flight tasting on:

Black Bush

Bushmills 10 Year Malt

Bushmills 16 Year Malt

Bushmills 21 Year Malt

Bushmills 1608

Please drink responsibly.

Where do you see the results? It must be hiding in plain sight, but I'm looking right at the Bushmills site and don't see it.

Make sure you have pop-ups enabled on the site. When you click to vote it forces a new window to open then you enter your contact info for a prize, vote, then see the results.

I just voted for the second time (you can vote every day, but you can only enter the contest once). I'm going to try and vote every day until it ends on March 17th. If all the forum members do this, we'll definintely win!!
When in doubt, add more wine.

Last night's event at O'Shea's was a great time. Gordon Donoghue, Bushmills Master Distiller, was a fun speaker.

Join us at Sully's tonight, 5 pm.

Thanks for the votes. Let's break the other cities with our "enduring spirit."
