The scene has expanded well beyond such traditional areas such the Highlands, St Matthews and Crescent Hill. Places such as Jeffersonville, New Albany, NuLu, Norton Commons, Fern Creek, and others either hardly existed 15 years ago, or were basically foodie deserts. There are also many more ethnic eateries and a good number of them don't make it on the radar screen for many of us.
So I conclude that this is still a great city for food and drink (I forgot to mention the enormous growth of bourbon experiences in town now), but the deck has been shuffled a number of times.
