Grale Goods

by James Natsis » Sat Oct 18, 2025 9:43 pm

I was in the neighborhood this afternoon so I decided to stop off to check out this place that just opened yesterday.

I think it is a great fit for the location, which, by the way, is prime real estate in my view.

The place is rather simple offering coffee/smoothies, baked goods, breakfast, and lunch sandwiches. I think the menu fits well with the motif and ambiance. They don't try to do anything fancy, just stick with basic fundamentals, but with a Highlands touch. The decor and ambiance is rather retro and reminds me a bit of Lynns Paradise Cafe. Its not quite that extravagant, but it has enough of a hint to evoke the longtime Baxter Ave unique venue. It also has a rather foodhall feel to it even though it is a singular restaurant. Kind of where standing around and lingering is de riguer.

All said, its a cool vibe and should do well in that location that seems to be more suited for non-serious, up and about traffic, than a sit down, order and serious dining experience.

Thanks for the report! I noticed that it was open and have it on my list for the next time I'm over that way. That's quite a little Grale Empire they've built around there, isn't it?

As the Haitian motto goes: "L'union fait la force," (Unity makes strength)! It seems to be a good formula for the Grale folks.
