Coming to the Highlands: Helm & Honey, Hurry for Curry

by Rich S » Wed Sep 03, 2025 7:06 pm

Several restaurants have closed recently on Bardstown Road, but new ones keep popping up.

Helm & Honey will replace La Chasse at 1359 Bardstown Road. It will offer “wood fire neighborhood fine dining,” according to its Instagram page, but I haven’t found any more information. It recently applied for its liquor license, so I’d guess it hopes to open in the next few months.

Hurry for Curry is an Indian, Nepali and Tibetan restaurant that’s replacing Cafe 360 at 1582 Bardstown Road. It had a soft opening on Labor Day, according to a video on TikTok, but I can’t find a website and don’t know if its regular hours have started yet.

(And there’s also Murray’s Creole Pub, which chef Lawrence Weeks plans to open at 1576 Bardstown Road, replacing Pints & Union; that’s already had a lot of news coverage.)

Thanks for all the reporting! I’m still wrestling with the idea of “replacing Cafe 360.”

Here's the soft opening menu for Hurry for Curry, including momos, thukpa and a few curries. Apparently they plan to expand the menu and also add breakfast items.

Thanks! As I understand it, we've got a pretty sizable cluster of immigrants from far northern India, Nepal, and Tibet here ... areas that have suffered hard times and a lot of ethnic conflicts in recent years. I'm all for supporting them, and hoping that La Migra doesn't get interested.
