New seafood restaurant coming to Germantown

According to an article published in Business 1st today a new seafood restaurant that will specialize in Oysters will be opening in Germantown late this year. Not a lot of information yet but here's a brief quote from the article:
"A new seafood restaurant specializing in fresh oysters is scheduled to open in Germantown in late 2024.

Franny’s will be located at 998 Goss Ave. in a new development that is currently under construction. Owner Meghan Love said the 2,600-square-foot restaurant will be similar to a European bistro with 80 seats inside and an outside patio that can seat up to 30 people."

Looking forward to this. I assume they’ll have oyster rolls in addition to raw ones. Sounds fun! Thanks for posting this.

Another oyster bar is being planned for Butchertown, at Main and Wenzel streets. It will be called YachtSea, according to plans filed with the city, and appears to be connected with the owners of the Merryweather bar. It’s part of the Butcher Block development, which also includes Pho Ba Luu and Big Nita’s Cheesecakes.

I assume having two oyster bars opening at the same time is just a coincidence, and not part of a restaurant trend.
